What is AUSLAN?

Auslan is Australian Sign Language. It is the language of the Deaf Community in Australia and was recognised as a language by the Federal Government in 1981.

How does AUSLAN work?

Auslan is not a visual form of English, rather it is a language in its own right with its own grammatical rules and features.
